As we are still in the season of Easter, we remember that Jesus lived, died, and on the third day rose again. We remember his love for us as he gave his life to the full and ultimate way in his teaching and healing and especially on the Cross. Therefore, since Jesus loved us in this way, sacrificially to the full, let us love one another. It is Jesus' command to all his disciples.
What does this bold love look like in daily life? Listening to someone who is lonely, forgiving those who hurt us, serving the marginalized and left out with food, clothes, and a safe place in the Body of Christ. You and I can love boldly and to the full if we follow the footsteps of our Lord and Savior. God will guide and direct our steps as well as empower us through the Holy Spirit.
Let us pray today that we will be faithful disciples that represent Jesus today. Amen.
